John Norris Ray is an award-winning writer, producer, and director based in Houston, Texas. He is the president of JNR Productions; a company he founded to support his own ambitions in writing and producing independent films. John and his company have become recognized for its active support of fellow writers, directors, and producers in the independent film industry. John has served as an investor/executive producer on numerous film projects in multiple countries. John's personal accomplishments include earning over 120 festival awards with his films and screenplays. His latest animated short film, The Family Photo, has won over 70 awards so far on the international film festival circuit.

John retired in 2024 from a US based, national fund-raising company, where he was its founder and Chief Executive Officer. John and his wife are avid travellers having been to over sixty countries together. John is a veteran of the US Army and a Cancer Survivor.
